Established in 1985, Adventure Scuba & School is a PADI® Five Star instructor development center. Our PADI® trained dive instructors certify new Open Water Divers, Advanced Open Water Divers, Rescue Divers, and Divemasters. We also offer fantastic snorkeling experiences for those looking for a more relaxed trip. Snorkelers are welcome on our scuba trips, so friends and family can all take part, regardless of diving experience.
Underwater Adventure has been the primary provider of scuba diving activities for many major cruise lines that call in St Thomas since 1985. Our safety record is unequaled, our dive boats are U.S. Coast Guard inspected and driven by USCG licensed captains. Our dive instructors are PADI® trained professionals with years of experience leading both certified and non-certified divers. Our PADI® trained Divemasters relish the opportunity to lead certified divers on amazing dive tours.

My teenage sons and I had the pleasure of diving with Adventure Scuba and it was a wonderful experience. We have had the opportunity to dive throughout the Caribbean, and Adventure Scuba was able to offer that very special mix of being both safety conscious and relaxed. Our guide, Mandy, ensured that time was taken to notice the big and little things at the dive site- from sharks to crabs! The pre-dive briefings were thorough and included the history of the sites as well as the practicalities of the dive. We are really looking forward to our next dive with Adventure Scuba.

I dove with Adventure Scuba in Feb. 2022 as a cruise liner traveler. I'm a certified diver and this experience was one of the fun ones by far. The Boat awaits you right at the pier. The dive site is a short boat ride from the pier, so no time is wasted. The guides were great and pointed out various interesting underwater fish and wrecks. The atmosphere is a relaxed, vacation vibe one. But I have to tell you this. I forgot my fins on the boat and with the help of the dive store I was able, without any problem, to coordinate getting them back to the USA. They went above and beyond in their customer's service too. I highly recommend using them for your dives. Especially if you are on a cruise.

We were recently PADI Open Water Diver Certified with Adventure Scuba and are so grateful to have had the experience with this scuba center. The instructor (Toni) was wonderful- professional, patient and thorough. The entire crew from the office (Justin) to the boat boat (Both Kyle and Kyle!) made it a seamless and totally enjoyable process. With lots of scheduled boat dates and times, there were plenty of choices for the dives to be certified in a short amount of time The equipment was top quality and really helpful in fitting and reviewing products for our plan to purchase our own gear. If you ever thought of getting your PADI Open Water Diver done- DO IT HERE!
